House Policies

To ensure a conducive recovery environment, we have established the following rules:

  • Quiet Time: From 10 pm to 8 am daily, keep noise levels low indoors. Avoid loud conversations, especially in the backyard.
  • Morning Routine: Attend morning reading and meditation from 8 to 9 a.m., unless in PHP/IOP groups or at work.
  • Kitchen Rules: Only consume food and drinks in the kitchen/dining area; water is allowed elsewhere.
  • Rent Payment: Pay rent in full on Friday each week. This applies unless you have prepaid multiple weeks. Late payments incur fees of $15 a day. They can lead to eviction.
  • Drug/Alcohol Policy: Failing or refusing a screening requires immediate move-out; no refunds are given. Sobriety is mandatory.
  • Deposit and Refund: No deposit is required. There are no refunds for early move-outs. Refunds are not provided for removals due to house disruptions. Violating house rules or failed screenings also result in no refunds.
  • House Gatherings: Mandatory attendance to house gatherings, arrive 15 minutes early unless approved otherwise.
  • Medications: All prescriptions must be approved; no narcotics allowed. Misuse leads to eviction.
  • Respect for Property: No alterations to walls; stealing or unauthorized use of belongings is grounds for eviction.
  • Room Standards: Rooms must be “tour ready,” clean, and inspected regularly; no eating or drinking (other than water) in bedrooms.
  • TV and Quiet Hours: TV off by 10:55 pm Sunday – Thursday, 11:55 pm Fri-Sat. Please keep the noise down during quiet hours.
  • Employment: Job approval is required by management; unemployed residents must engage in recovery work or job search daily.
  • Guests: Visitors must be approved for each visit by the house manager; no overnight guests will be permitted.
  • Meeting Attendance: Mandatory in-person 12-step meetings daily or as required; Zoom meetings limited.
  • Curfew: Sunday – Thursday in by 11 pm, Fri-Sat by midnight; exceptions cleared in advance via management. Overnight passes must be approved and meet the criteria
  • Smoking Policy: No regular cigarettes indoors; vaping allowed in designated areas, respect others’ preferences.
  • Check-out System: Use “Group Me” to check out every time you leave the house.

These policies create a structured and supportive environment for all residents. Please adhere to them to foster a positive community atmosphere.

Emphasis on Rules and Responsibilities

  • No pets, smoking inside, or personal modifications to rooms.
  • Mandatory attendance of weekly house gatherings & on time rent payments.
  • Approval is required for all prescription medications & visitors. You are responsible for managing your medications and taking them as prescribed.
  • Respect for personal belongings and communal spaces.

Chores

  • Daily Chores: Everyone has a daily chore assigned, which must be completed by a specified time set by management.
  • Double Scrub and Weekly Chores: These are assigned on Saturday nights, and Double Scrub tasks are prioritized for Sundays. If you’re working, complete your designated chore immediately upon returning home before engaging in any other house activities.
  • Weekly Rotation: Chores are rotated weekly and posted on the whiteboard with assigned names.
  • Room Maintenance: Rooms must always be kept clean, including sweeping and mopping. Shoes should be neatly placed on the provided shoe racks—not under the bed.
  • Accountability: Failure to complete or skip assigned chores will result in a “words assignment.” There’s no negotiation on the number of words or reasons. Humility is key here. Refusal of word assignments may lead to eviction. Consistent failure to fulfill chores indicates non-compliance with house structure and may result in consequences.

Let’s keep our living environment tidy and respectful for everyone’s benefit.

Guests, and Parking

  • Guests must be pre-approved and follow house rules.
  • Parking only on property in designated areas. Not on the street or in front of neighbors’ houses.

Good Neighbor Rules

Revive Recovery Homes strives to maintain positive relationships with our neighbors and foster a respectful community environment. To ensure harmony and mutual respect, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Respectful Conduct: Always treat all neighbors with kindness and consideration. Avoid confrontations or disputes at all costs; instead, direct any concerns or complaints to RRH management for resolution.
  2. Noise Control: Keep noise levels to a minimum. This applies both inside and outside the house. It is especially important during Quiet Time from 10 pm to 9 am. Avoid loud conversations, music, or other disturbances that can disrupt neighbors’ peace.
  3. Parking Courtesy: Park only on the street adjacent to the house. Ensure that you do not block driveways or park in front of neighbors’ homes. This ensures accessibility and avoids inconvenience for our neighbors.
  4. Smoking and Littering: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house; designated smoking areas are available outside. Dispose of cigarette butts responsibly in ashtrays and refrain from littering on the property or in neighboring areas.
  5. Community Representation: As representatives of Revive Recovery Homes in the community, uphold our values of integrity and accountability. Be mindful of how your actions reflect on the house and its residents.
  6. Guest Etiquette: When hosting guests, ensure they understand and respect our rules. Guests should be always accompanied and adhere to house policies, including quiet hours and smoking regulations.
  7. Communication Protocol: If you interact with neighbors, stay courteous. If a neighbor raises concerns, direct them to RRH management. Avoid discussing or negotiating matters independently to maintain consistency and fairness.

By following these Good Neighbor Rules, you help create a supportive living environment. This contribution makes Revive Recovery Homes a positive place for everyone. Your cooperation is crucial in fostering a sense of community and mutual respect within our neighborhood.
